Master of Science in Engineering Management

Over the past decade, the UAE labor market has witnessed a remarkable increase in the proportion of skilled workers, IT professionals, engineering graduates, researchers, scientists, and a broad spectrum of other professionals, commonly referred to as “knowledge workers”. This trend is expected to continue as the country enters the next decade. The increasing demand for knowledge workers has created several opportunities and challenges for institutions of higher education to design graduate programs to build the skills of young people in different fields of specialization. Al Ghurair University’s Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM) will effectively serve the needs of the knowledge economy with engineering professionals equipped with sophisticated managerial skills. The MSEM degree fits well with the vision of United Arab Emirates to maintain its status as a regional commercial hub and to strengthen its competitive position in the global economy. Engineering graduates, especially the MSEM degree holders, can play a potentially significant role in steering the country in the direction of greater diversification with innovative engineering ideas and appropriate strategic thinking.
