DIRECTOR OF PLANNING : (Ref.#DIRPLNNG/12-13/DOP)
Summary | • The Director of planning directs and coordinates activities related to institutional planning that support the mission and vision of the University. Under the direction of the President, the Director of Planning provides leadership and direction for the University master planning process and other plans. |
Key Responsibilities | • Prepare strategic plan, establish planning priorities, and appropriate action plans in consultation with various colleges, academic departments, and other supporting units of the University. • Plan and coordinate the implementation process and review of approved strategic plans. • Work with the University management to link appropriation and operating budget requests to planning priorities. • Prepare and coordinate the dissemination of the planning documents and reports. • Prepare reports as needed to the Board of Governors. • Serve on standing and adhoc committees as required. • Perform other duties as assigned by the President. |
Qualification | • An earned master/doctorate degree from a recognized university. • Academic credentials sufficient to merit appointment at a senior position. • Sufficient experience in teaching and research at a university. |
Experience | • Previous experience (minimum 5 years) at a senior administrative position in higher education. • Substantial knowledge of or experience of strategic planning in the context of higher education. |
Skills Required | • Strong oral and written communication skills. |
