Why should you become a member of the Alumni Association?
Besides being a free membership this will entitle you to a number of benefits. While you will get free access to many of the University facilities like library , gym etc You will also get discounts on many of our product offerings. Once you register as member of the association you will an AGU VALUE CARD from the CAPPS office. This will entitle you to:
- Free usage of library and our e library resources. The University has a well sourced library with a variety of educational and research material to support you in your future educational pursuits be it a masters or a doctorate level study. The E library has access to unlimited selection of books on varied topics besides also giving you access to latest real-time research papers featured in Proquest, IEEE-ASPP, ABI/Global Inform etc.
- 15% discount on fee for yourself on any of the training courses offered by our Continuing education centre and 25% discount for yourself if you can get a group of upto 3 or more persons to attend the course in addition to yourself.( the training centre offers a number of technical and soft skill courses to many of the corporate both Government and private in the UAE)
- Discounts on other academic programs being offered at AGU.
- Free registration on some of the job portals to help you in the job search process. Once you register on the job portal and indicate your interest areas you will get job alerts automatically. To avail of this facility go to the Alumni page specially designed for you on the AGU website. This page will feature links that will connect to some of the recruitment agencies operating in this region and thus give you access to job opportunities. This page is designed in an interactive way to allow you to network extensively with your alumni friends and share information and ideas with each other.
- AGU VALUE CARD that will entitle you to discounts at select retail outlets, dining places, cinemas etc.
- Networking opportunities with your co students through University events.
- Invitation/SMS alerts to career fairs , guest lectures, open day and other events organized by the University from time to time.
Procedure
It is very easy to avail of the above facilities. Just fill up the details at the end of this booklet and submit the form to the CAPPS office at AGU. Alternatively you can also go to the Alumni page on AGU website and fill up the membership form. Upon finishing this formality you will automatically become a member of the Alumni Association. You will receive your membership number and your AGU VALUE CARD that will entitle you to many attractive benefits.
