As the medium of instruction is English, a good command of the English language – both oral and written – is essential. For admission purposes, secondary School grades must meet the minimum established standards set by the University. If admission is offered, it will be valid for the semester for which it is given, unless official postponement for one semester is applied for and approved by the concerned parties
1. GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS (GAR)
Students seeking admission to undergraduate programs are required to submit the following documents:
- A completed application form for admission. (All parts of the application form must be carefully completed.)
- Attested U.A.E Secondary School Certificate (or its equivalent) with a minimum score of 60%
- Five recent photographs
- A photocopy of a valid identity card or passport.
- A certificate of conduct issued by the CID
- A standardized test score in TOEFL/ IELTS / or any other internationally recognized standardized test as stated below in the English Language Requirement.
- Attested Transcript & Course Description ( for Credits Transfer students )
2. ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
In order to be admitted to an undergraduate program at AGU, a candidate must demonstrate sufficient command of the English language as measured by the TOEFL or any other internationally recognized equivalent and standard test. The candidate must submit a minimum score of 500 (paper based) or 173 (computer based) on the international TOEFL or submit a score of 5.00 on IELTS or any other internationally recognized standardized equivalent test score. This rule applies to transfer students also.
(Note: English language scores are only valid for two calendar years.)
